LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi and his son Moonis Elahi have convened a meeting of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan invited Mr. Elahi to join the PTI.
The party leaders will decide whether to join the PTI or keep their existing position at a meeting. The gathering would include PML-Q senior leadership and senators. According to sources, the merger might happen.
Former Prime Minister Khan has invited CM Parvez Elahi to join his party. Moonis Elahi is apparently willing to unite his party with the PTI, and many former members of the Punjab Assembly from the PML-Q favor this choice.
